We’ve Chosen our Zip-Line Outfitter in Belize
After reviewing the zip-line adventure outfitters, we have decided on which one we will use. While we have decided not to stay at Jaguar Paw, we have decided to use Jaguar Paw for our zip-line adventure.
We chose Jaguar Paw because they are the cheapest in zip-lining in the general area we will be traveling to Table Rock. In fact, Jaguar Paw is right on the way to Table Rock! Jaguar Paw is located on Mile 37 on the Western Highway, on St. Mathew’s Village. Just a short drive from the Junction(Cut Off) approximately 15 minutes. The zip-line adventure runs for about and hour and a half and it runs all day up untill 3:30 p.m. The current rate (as of August 20, 2009) for the Zip Line Tour is U.S $45.00 per person or U.S $52.50 with lunch. Courtney and I will opt out of the lunch and just do the zip-line itself.
We will most likely do this adventure early afternoon on the 16th of September. I know this will be our first stop/adventure in the jungle. Earlier in the morning we will be in Ambergris Caye. We will do some morning snorkeling and saying our goodbyes to the beach as we prepare to then take a flight from the island to the mainland. Then, we hope to grab a rental car from a company that provides a shuttle service to their rental location from anywhere in Belize City. This is the plan for now. I have inquired to them a few questions and am waiting to hear back.
Hopefully, Courtney can hook up his POV camera easily to one of their helmets. Maybe a roll of duck tape will do? I’m not sure how he plans to do it, but I’m sure he could get some great footage of the zip-lining. I would hope he can pull off something similar to the Girls Next Door’s zip-lining adventure in Jamaica.
Maybe he can make some sort of contraption to connect the camera out front like these girls have. Is he crafty enough? We will see!
