Don’t lie on the beach, squandering your exotic vacation! Belize offers a host of activities besides lounging on the beach and soaking up the sun’s rays. Many activities can be done virtually anywhere in the country; while others are isolated. If you insist on hugging the coast, there are activities for you, too. Below is an introductory sentence about several enjoyable activities to enrich your Belizean Travels. Fishing: Cast a line and reel in your lunch or just catch and release for some great sport and fond memories. Belize offers everything from fly fishing to deep sea fishing and offers some of the most desirable sport fish in the Atlantic.
Horseback Riding: Take a ride through Belize on a great Arabian and experience the countryside just like the Conquistadores might have. Ride to the Mayan Ruins and go back in time.
Kayaking: Belize offers many different varities of kayaking. There are sea kayaking, surf kayaking, kayak fishing, cave kayaking and whitewhater kayaking and kayak touring.
Snorkeling: Often just a few steps from a beachfront property, the shallow reef waters off Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker are excellent snorkeling opportunities. You can get wet without getting in too deep.
Windsurfing/Kiteboarding: For the real beach monger who wants to show off coordination and power, there is nothing more exciting than windsports on the water. Belize offers kiteboarding and windsurfing opportunities for those wanting a little extra energy in their tropical adventure.
Zip Lining: Zip lining offers the casual adventurer an opportunity to explore the jungle at breakneck speeds safely above the floor and out of the way of dangerous jaguars, and tapirs and iguanas “Oh, my!”
